PURPOSE OF PROPOSED BYLAW

The applicant proposes a property specific amendment to the Industrial 1 (IN1) zone, under the “Regional District of

Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987”, to permit the use of land for the storage and distribution

of steel shipping containers and the storage of property and goods within stored shipping containers.

Comments and questions may also be submitted by email to planning@rdn.bc.ca or by mail or in person to the RDN Administrative Building at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, B.C., V9T 6N2. Feedback must be received by January 20, 2023.

A summary of the comments received will be provided to the applicant, the Electoral Area Services Committee and RDN Board as part of the application review process.
