It’s a busy time in downtown Nanaimo where the fashion is mortar boards and gowns, as hundreds of students and proud families crowd streets, parking lots, Port Theatre and Vancouver Island Conference Centre for graduation ceremonies.
On Wednesday, June 26, more than 300 Nanaimo District Secondary School students representing the graduating class of 2024 received their diplomas with an afternoon commencement at the VICC.
